Jingle Bells, Rifle Shells

‘Tis the season for miracles… and murder.

A rifle crack shatters the holiday bustle. Christmas shoppers scatter as a renowned big-game hunter drops to the sidewalk. Blind detective Steve Smiley and his partner Heather McBlythe rush to the scene—and to the teen who’d been locked in a heated argument with her adoptive father moments before.

The teen’s first plea isn’t to find the killer—it’s to find her birth parents. What begins as a straightforward adoption search takes a deadly turn when Smiley discovers the hunter’s murder is tied directly to the girl’s hidden past.

The investigation unravels into a web of family secrets, bitter ex-wives, and a hunter’s dark past. As the twelve days tick down to Christmas, Smiley races to unwrap the truth: who pulled the trigger, and why a teenage girl’s past was worth killing for.

A classic whodunit with a blind detective, multiple suspects, and a ticking clock, this clean mystery delivers all the suspense without the graphic content. Perfect for fans of clever sleuths and intricate mysteries.
